Hobey Bauhan, Virginia Poultry Federation

Hobey Bauhan has served as President of the Virginia Poultry Federation since 1998. Prior to joining the Federation, Bauhan held several positions in the administration of Virginia Governor George Allen. Previously, he was Legislative Director to U.S. Representative George Allen and Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative D. French Slaughter, Jr.

Bauhan is Chairman of the Harrisonburg Electric Commission and a member of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. Previous board involvement includes the Virginia Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (2018 Chair); Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce (2013 Chair), and the Governor’s Council on Revenue Estimates (2002 to 2013).

Bauhan grew up in Goochland County, Virginia, and graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1988. He is a 2006 graduate of the UVA Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership Political Leaders Program. His wife, Ginna, and he have two adult daughters and reside in Harrisonburg, VA
