Tim Barham, Chief of Transit Operations for GRTC

Tim has been working in the transportation industry for 30 years. He started with Greyhound Lines, Inc. in 1992 where he held several positions including Driver Supervisor, Terminal Manager, Driver Manager, and District Manager of Driver Operations. He has managed operations for Veolia Transportation in Northern Virginia, the Fairfax Connector, the Arlington County bus system. In 2009 he went to work for the Maryland Transit Administration in Baltimore, Maryland. Since December 2012, he has been working at GRTC Transit System as the Chief of Transit Operations. In that role, he manages the Transportation Department and is responsible for the service delivery which includes the fixed route, commuter, and paratransit services otherwise known as CARE, CARE Plus, and Care On-Demand.
