Daniel M. Gade, Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Veterans Services

Daniel M. Gade served in the Army for more than 25 years. After enlisting in 1992, he graduated from West Point in 1997 and was commissioned as an Armor officer. He was wounded in action twice in Iraq while serving as a tank company commander. He earned an MPA and PhD from the University of Georgia, and served in the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Bush.
