Laurie Shipley has had a 20-year career in Public Relations, Communications, and Administrative Management. She has extensive experience in organizing special events including fundraising events, press conferences, film premieres, and student art exhibits. Prior to her public relations career, she worked as a retirement plan specialist and in the 1980s served in the United States Navy as an oceanographic officer. Her interests include physical fitness, music, reading, cross-stitch, and gardening.

Alex Innes recently is with management consulting firm Kincentric, where he helps clients transform their human capital, human resources, and organizational culture to differentiate themselves in a competitive talent market. He is currently focused on growing the business in Europe and the Middle East. Alex, his wife Katie and 15-month old Claire recently moved to Richmond after living in D.C. for ten years. While living in DC, he worked for Deloitte Consulting doing similar work for Federal Government clients, including Navy and Air Force. Before Deloitte he spent several years working for an international development non-profit focused on helping Syrian's build a democratic society not beholden to their dictator or ISIS.
