We're called ‘Out of Time’ because the music came down from eons of classic Scots/Irish folk music… rearranged by the sensational Kingston Trio in the 60's…So the material is timeless and truly, from somewhere…’out of time’.”
'Out of Time' is the only East Coast band that was friends with, and understudied, the number one folk group in history... The Kingston Trio.
Bob Shane and Nick Reynolds knew each other playing the music around Virginia in the 70's. Both have been with other groups, but gradually got together a year before Covid. Don had been performing with John Denver's banjo man, Jim Connor. He knew Don because Don published a 40-year booklet of the Kingston Trio. When Connor retired, Don got together with Dick for his amazing banjo and guitar talent. Since Denver grew up playing Kingston, Out of Time merged Denver's hits with the Kingston 'banjo/folk music.
They present a unique musical variety enjoyable to ALL age groups!
