Joseph Mengedoth, Regional Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, “An update on inflation and the economy”
The Richmond Fed is one of 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks working together and with the national Board of Governors. It is located in Richmond, Virginia and comprises a diverse team of 2,700. The Richmond Fed covers DC, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and most of West Virginia excluding the Northern Panhandle. Branch offices are located in the major cities of Baltimore, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina.
Joe Mengedoth is a regional economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, where he conducts research and provides analysis of data related to a variety of topics, including employment, labor force participation, and firm characteristics. He also manages the production of the Bank's Beige Book report.
Prior to joining the Bank, Mengedoth spent a decade providing revenue forecasting and analysis of proposed legislation for the Chief Economist of New Jersey. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in applied economics from Georgia Southern University. He also holds the designation of Certified Business Economist, rendered by the National Association for Business Economics. Mengedoth serves on the board of directors for the Henrico Education Foundation.
