Cat Anthony, Executive Director of the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation: “Virginia's Perfect Cycling/Walking/Running Family Trail”

Cat Anthony has been the Executive Director of the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation since October of 2017.  Cat is from the great City of Richmond and has loved seeing the transformation of Richmond over the years.  

She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies.  After graduating from VCU, she worked in outdoor recreation and wilderness therapy throughout the United States.  She has had many adventures in her work experience, from guiding seven-week expeditions in Alaska to leading rock climbing trips in New Mexico.  

Cat has also worked in Richmond based nonprofits like Blue Sky Fund taking youth into the outdoors and also Sportable, a Paralympic Sports Club, in both operations and fundraising.  Cat has over thirteen years of experience in nonprofit management and is excited to be the Executive Director of the Capital Trail.  When she is not playing on the Capital Trail, she loves traveling to exotic places, drinking too much coffee, and cooking up a storm.
