Brandon Robinson, CEO of Association of General Contractors of Virginia

A strategic thinker and association advocate at heart, Brandon’s passion is working with association leaders to think about new ways to solve old problems. Currently, Brandon does this as CEO of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia (AGCVA). Before joining AGCVA, Brandon was the Director of Policy for the Virginia Association of Health Plans (VAHP), where he worked as the liaison with the association’s Legislative Committee to develop policy positions and execute advocacy strategy. Prior to his time with VAHP, Brandon was President of Association Management at Eisenman & Associates, where he served as Executive Director of E&A’s largest client, the Virginia Society of Association Executives (VSAE). Earlier in his career, Brandon worked for Easter Associates, a Virginia-based association management company, and the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) in Washington, D.C.

Brandon has over 15 years of experience in association management including running several state-based trade associations and professional societies. He is an active member of ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership and the Virginia Society of Association Executive (VSAE), and has held several volunteer leadership positions with both organizations. Most notably he served as chair of the ASAE Young Professionals Committee from 2014-2015, a graduate of VSAE’s Association Leadership Virginia (ALV) program, and as a NextGen Summit participant. Brandon also served on the Executive Committee of the Allied Societies Alliance. In 2015, Brandon earned the coveted Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from ASAE.

Brandon graduated from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va. before completing his master’s degree from The Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University. Originally from North Carolina, Brandon grew up in Richmond, VA. where he now resides with his wife, two children, and lovable golden retriever.
