Karen Daly, President of Stratford Hall

Karen Daly joined Stratford Hall as President in January 2021.  She was previously the Executive Director of Dumbarton House, Federal period house museum and headquarters of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Washington, DC from 2008 to 2020. Before becoming executive director in 2008, Karen served as education director for five years and, earlier in her career, taught fourth grade in the DC public school system. Karen currently serves as Vice President of the Virginia Association of Museums, one of the most active museum service organizations in the country. Graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies from The College of William and Mary, Karen then pursued her Master of Arts in Teaching in Museum Education from The George Washington University.
