Alex Humen, A native of Ukraine

A native of Ukraine, will speak about the war in Ukraine.

Oleksandr “Alex” Humen, his wife, and their oldest daughter were all born in a town called Zinkiv, Poltava region, in central Ukraine. Their youngest daughter was born in the U.S. They still have family living in Ukraine and are worried about their well-being during the current unrest in Ukraine.

Alex has a bachelor’s degree in biology-technology (Ukraine). He came to the United States 10 years ago as a student. He obtained a work visa and is currently a coach at UFC Gym in Norfolk. He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a member of the Tidewater Ukrainian Cultural Association (tuca.us)
