Anne Moss Rogers, Virginia Board Member, National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI)
Anne Moss Rogers is an emotionally naked® storyteller and national public speaker, a 2019 YWCA Pat Asch Fellow for social justice, and a NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) Virginia board member.
She is author of the award-winning memoir, Diary of a Broken Mind and her new book for the educational market, Emotionally Naked: A Teacher’s Guide to Preventing Suicide and Recognizing Students at Risk, which published August of 2021.
Despite her family’s best efforts, her 20-year-old son Charles died by suicide on June 5, 2015, after many years of struggle with anxiety, depression, and ultimately addiction. Her blog, Emotionally Naked, has reached over one million.
Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill, she lives in Richmond with her husband. Her surviving son, Richard, works in LA as a filmmaker.
